Pull Slide In Inside Touch - Cones Dribbling Drills for U10-U11

This drill builds on the Pull Slide In Inside Touch (Cones Dribbling Drills for U10-U11). The same move is performed, but the player alternates both feet as he passes through the cones.

When starting with the right foot:

(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)

  1. Place the ball to the right and passed the first cone in the direction of the cones.
  2. Stand behind the ball.
  3. Pull the ball with the right foot.
  4. Slide the ball sideways to the left foot with the inside of the right foot.
  5. Push the ball parallel to the cones with the inside of the left foot.
  6. As soon as the ball passes the second next cone, pull the ball with the left foot.
  7. Slide the ball sideways to the right foot with the inside of the left foot.
  8. Push the ball parallel to the cones with the inside of the right foot.
  9. Continue steps 3-8.

Things to watch out for:

  1. Don't stand rigid on the legs but flex the knees a bit.
  2. Jump on the support foot to stay in sync.
  3. Try to slide the ball nicely sideways and slide straight between the cones.
  4. Keep the ball parallel to the cones when pushing the ball.
