Roll Forward 1-2-(3) - Dynamic Ball Mastery Drills for U10-U11

When starting with the right foot:

(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)

  1. Stand behind the ball (ball in front of right foot.
  2. Roll the ball forward with the right foot 2 (or 3) times in a row.
  3. Reposition the right foot which becomes the support foot.
  4. Roll the ball forward with the left foot 2 (or 3) times in a row.
  5. Reposition the left foot which becomes the support foot.
  6. Continue step 2-5.

Things to watch out for:

  1. Don't stand rigid on the legs but flex the knees a bit.
  2. Stay on the same straight line.
  3. Reposition the support foot constantly to keep the ball on that straight line.
  4. Keep the ball at a comfortably distance from the body while rolling.
  5. Stay in the same rhythm.
  6. The same distance should be covered with every roll.
