Slide Behind Both Feet Slide In - Static Ball Control Drills for U10-U11

Tutorial

When starting with the right foot:

(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)

  1. Stand behind the ball (ball before right foot).
  2. Roll out with the right foot.
  3. At the same time:
    1. Jump forward on the support foot (left foot) to make room for the ball.
    2. Slide the ball behind the left foot (with the inside of right foot).
  4. Roll out with the left foot.
  5. At the same time:
    1. Jump forward on the support foot (right foot) to make room for the ball.
    2. Slide the ball behind the right foot (with the inside of left foot).
  6. Slide the ball in from the right foot to the left foot.
  7. Continue steps 2-6 alternating between both feet.

Things to watch out for:

  1. Don't stand rigid on the legs but flex the knees a bit.
  2. Make sure the ball can pass behind the support foot.
