When starting with the right foot:
(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)
- Stand behind the ball at an angle of 45° with the ball in front of the right foot.
- Pull the ball with the mid-sole of the right foot.
- At the same time:
- Jump on the left foot.
- Turn to the left.
- Position the supporting foot (right) in the direction of the intended path of the following push.
- Push the ball with the inside of the left foot.
- Reposition the support foot (right).
- Pull the ball with the mid-sole of the left foot.
- At the same time:
- Jump on the right foot.
- Turn to the right .
- Position the supporting foot (left) in the direction of the intended path of the following push.
- Push the ball with the inside of the right foot.
- Reposition the support foot (left).
- Continue steps 2-9.
Things to watch out for:
- Don't stand rigid on the legs but flex the knees a bit.
- Stay at the same position during the exercise.
- Maintain the same 'V' during the entire exercise.
- 'Jump, Turn & Push'. Position the support foot in the same direction of the path of the intended push.
- Pull the ball in the path of the intended push.
- Keep enough space between both feet for a comfortable push.
