Pull Push Laces + Inside + Outside Both Feet - Static Ball Control Drills for U12-U13

This drill is the last of a long series and requires some thinking besides the needed coordination.

When starting with the right foot:

(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)

  1. Stand behind the ball (ball in front of right foot).
  2. Pull the ball with the sole of the right foot.
  3. Jump on the support foot (left).
  4. Push the ball forward with the inside of the right foot.
  5. Pull the ball with the sole of the left foot.
  6. Jump on the support foot (right).
  7. Push the ball forward with the laces of the left foot.
  8. Pull the ball with the sole of the right foot.
  9. Jump on the support foot (left).
  10. Push the ball forward with the outside of the right foot.
  11. Jump on the support foot (right).
  12. Pull the ball with the sole of the left foot.
  13. Jump on the support foot (right).
  14. Push the ball forward with the inside of the left foot.
  15. Pull the ball with the sole of the right foot.
  16. Jump on the support foot (left).
  17. Push the ball forward with the laces of the right foot.
  18. Pull the ball with the sole of the left foot.
  19. Jump on the support foot (right).
  20. Push the ball forward with the outside of the left foot.
  21. Jump on the support foot (left).
  22. Continue step 2-21.

Things to watch out for:

  1. Don't stand rigid on the legs but flex the knees a bit.
  2. Keep the same position.
  3. Pull with the forefoot while keeping the support foot straight.
  4. Try to push the ball to the exact same spot continuously at a comfortable distance.
  5. Turn open the hips for the inside push while keeping the support foot straight.
  6. Time the push correctly and push at the centre of the ball.
  7. Stay in the rhythm while repositioning the support foot.
  8. Think "Inside, Laces, Outside" while alternating between both feet.
